If you don't think geckos are funny, that's cool. But we probably can't hang out.

How to Double Mat for a Frame

Cutting a double mat has appeal and saves loads of money if you do it yourself. Then again, maybe you're not good with sharp objects. You know who you are. No getting cross at us at 4 Dog because you didn't listen to Gran when she told you not to cut towards yourself.

Step 1. Take 2 pieces of mat board and cut them to the size of the frame. Make sure you have enough mat to get the look you want.

Step 2. Cut one mat on the inside to fit the piece. Cut the other mat at least 2mm wider and taller on the inside.

Step 3. Tape some strips of foam between the mat boards.  (See picture of "Double mat with sweet foam layers.")

Step 4. Frame like a boss. Done!
