You get 10 points if you know that there are 11 different geese under the umbrella of 'Canadian goose.' Smallest in the group is the Cackling Goose, at only 1.8kg (3-4 pounds), and largest would be the Giant Canada Goose at 6.35 kgs (14 pounds.) The Giant was thought to be extinct in the 1950s, but due to some fairly tireless conservation efforts and the list of qualities listed above, the bird has made a comeback. A comeback to the tune of over 1.5 million birds. Odds are good that the Canadian Geese you have heard flying overhead were giants.
