Equine noses have driven many artists to drink. Pretty sure that checks out.

All my friends are dead.
Some people may not call Museums and Zombies a gift. These people don't know how to museum. Or zombie. Possibly both.

It's a comic. Mostly about museums and the awesome, hilariously broken people who work in them. And a little bit about zombies. It probably helps if you have a darker shade of humour. Now that we think about it, that's probably just good advice in general.

Trex sketches concepts characters dinosaur cartoons draw how to draw fun sitting fluffy feathers tribal
I (Jess) have had T.rex on the brain since finding a T.rex tooth out in North Dakota. I may have it tattooed on my forehead and never wash my left hand again. I have been imagining ways to casually bring it up in conversation.

Me: Yes, it was remarkable to find a tooth from a tyrannosaur. One bit of grit in a whole hillside of grit.

Other person: How did you get in here? I'm the queen.

I'm bad at small talk.  And tattoos.

Trex sketch with feathers. I suspect tyrannosaurs were like 9ft./2.75m tall under-medicated badgers. Only more bitey.
Picture
Trex sketch. Without feathers. That seems self explanatory really.

Triceratops pair and nest of eggs with feathery spikes.
Picture
Triceratops pair sans the spikes with their "back nipples." I realize that putting the word "nipples" may ban my site from child-safe searches but that's what they look like and it is not my fault. Their necks looked like CheezIts. The pattern I mean, not that Triceratops looked like they were covered in powdered cheesy dust. Although maybe. You never know. Trex seemed to think they were pretty tasty...

Mastodon mum and baby. Ok, technically not a dinosaur, in the sense of being a mammal. But sketchbooks are frequently unorganized like that.

We can confirm through independent sources, subtle sources built in iron and set along the highway, that Horsefest is July 29, 2017 in the tiny but feisty town of Taylor, North Dakota. If you like draught horses or old-time equipment, you really don't want to miss out. Last year there was some darn good Thai food. Here's hoping they are there again too!

Norwegian fjord teams, Clydesdales, Percherons, Belgians; all the feather-footed-favorites come out to play in Taylor. Be sure to bring your camera and your wallet. You're going to want some of those Thai plates and kebabs.

The weather is supposed to be perfect and plenty of parking. See you there, historic horse fans!

Nibbler of leftover sandwiches, this kitty is the reason Hugh tells you that it's not to late to run to Mexico.

There's more to that story.

His code name is Schadenfreude.

Hugh Character Sketches

Hugh is a gifted engineer in the late 19th century. Well read, likeable, steady job; it's hard to believe he's still single. Or still roughing through the winters in Dakota Territory, 1870s.

This gentle giant splits his seasons on the steamboats of the Missouri River and working for the hotels in Bismarck. He is known for being a fixer, engineering god, consumer of books, collector of untouchable tools, forming a bond with scrap wood piles on an emotional level, and finding cats very unhelpful.
