Owls Discuss the Universe- original
Image size: 16x20" on canvas
"The owls always got together to discuss various topics, and today, was the universe. The universe has fascinated many a creature for many, many, many years, dating all the way back to at least the very beginning of Star Trek.
To really understand the mysteries of the universe, the owls thought you should look at it first hand. They all agreed that the best time to do this was at night, when many age-old questions will page through your mind, such as, "Why the hell do those bastards park crates of bees next to me!?"
Oh, sure, two owls tried to explain it as a balance in the universe. For pollination, for honey, for the cycle of life, these native creatures were playing out their role in their short little time on the earth. Each bee knew it's duty, though small, ever yet essential to the survival of the colony for future generations. To which the other owl said,
"Rubbish. It's an ungracious insect, no doubt viciously imported to the Northern United States from somewhere else. Probably, Hell."
So, while they weren't sure that the universe would turn out to be a boundless void, or densely populated with creatures in pajamas and Russian accents, the owls were relatively certain that there were no bees in space, and at least one of them decided that it was a damned good thing."
